Internet Explorer 9 Keyboard Shortcuts : Time Saving Tip

Microsoft’s fastest Browser Internet Explorer 9 beta 1 was released few days back with some good features and lots of shortkeys (Keyboard shorcuts) for faster access. Without these Shortcuts, its very difficult to navigate the new IE9 beta 1.




Internet Explorer 9 Keyboard Shortcuts & Hotkeys

Ctrl + T - Open a New Tab
Ctrl + Click - Open link in new tab
Ctrl + Tab or Ctrl + Shift + Tab - Jump to Another Tab
Ctrl + ( 1 to 8 ) - Switch to a specific tab corresponding to the tab number
Ctrl + Alt + F4 - Close other tabs
Ctrl + W - Close Tab
Ctrl + Q - Quick Tabs

Ctrl + M - Go to your Homepage
Ctrl + Click - Open link in new tab
Ctrl + K - Duplicate the current Tab
Ctrl + Tab or Ctrl + Shift + Tab - Switch between tabs
Ctrl + 9 - Switch to last tab
Ctrl + Enter - Add www. and .com to your typed address
Ctrl + E - Highlight Search Box
Ctrl + J - Open Download Manager
Ctrl + Q - Quick Tabs

Ctrl + A – Select All.
Ctrl + B – Favorites.
Ctrl + C – Copy Selected.
Ctrl + E – Search panel.
Ctrl + F – Find (on page).
Ctrl + H – Toggle History panel.
Ctrl + I – Toggle Favorites panel.
Ctrl + L – Open File. Same as Ctrl + O
Ctrl + N – Open New browser window.
Ctrl + P – Print current page / frame.
Ctrl + R – Refresh. Same as F5

Esc : Stop while page is loading
F5 : Refresh page
Ctrl + F : Find On this Page
F4 : Display list of typed addresses

Alt : Temporarily show the menu bar. After the selection menu bar goes away.
Alt+C : View favorites, feeds, and browsing history.
Alt+X : Open Tools menu
Alt+D : Highlight Address bar.

Alt + Enter : Open search query in a new tab

Alt + Left arrow : Back
Alt + Right arrow : Forward

Ctrl + - (minus sign) : Zoom in
Ctrl + + (plus sign) : Zoom out
Ctrl + 0 (zero) : Reset zoom level

F1- Help.
F3 – Toggle on/off search panel.
F4 – Pull down address bar.
F5 – Refresh current page.
F6 – Move focus to address bar.
F11 – Toggle on/off full-screen mode
F12 – Developer Tools
F7 – Caret Browsing

Ctrl + Shift + Del : Delete Browsing History

Ctrl + Shift + P : InPrivate Browsing
Ctrl + Shift + F : InPrivate Filtering

Alt+5 – Force IE 5 rendering mode
Alt+7 – Force IE 7 rendering mode
Alt+8 - Force IE8 rendering mode
Alt+9 – Force IE9 rendering mode
Alt+0 – Reset document mode to the page default

Mouse Shortcuts for Internet Explorer 9:-
Double-click (On a word) – Select the word.
Triple-click – Select entire line.
Wheel click – Activate the Smooth scrolling.
Hold Ctrl + Scroll Wheel forward – Increase font size.
Hold Ctrl + Scroll Wheel backward – Decrease font size.
Click one point then hold Shift & click another – Create a selection from
the two points.
