Barnes & Noble's new Nook Simple Touch Reader is a Android powered e-reader and it is smaller, 15 percent thinner, and 35 percent lighter than the previous version. It will give longest battery life of any e-reader as of now.
The new Nook was quite a surprise after all the chatter on the Web about Barnes & Noble bringing out an Android tablet. The Nook Simple Touch Reader is a simplified touch screen e-reader with a six-inch touch screen e-Ink Pearl display, built-in Wi-Fi, internal storage for up to 1,000 books, micro SD slot, battery life of up to two months, and without buttons, keyboards or extras. With this new Nook, Kindle has a direct competitor.
